Description
An antique late 18th century elm display case, bookcase in the Gustavian manner. With neoclassic Georgian columns and dentilled pediment. Below this are two astragal glazed doors with hand drawn glass. The interior with fitted shelves and two interior drawers. Below this are a pair of drawers, all with ormolu handles and escutcheons and with working locks and keys. the whole raised on fluted tapering legs. An ideal piece of furniture for a narrow hallway as it is only 30 cm deep at the very top cornice. Doors have pegged constructions and all drawers with dove tailed joints in solid Elm or Birch.
Interior shelves are 22cm deep. Internal opening is H77cm W101cm and could easily hide an LED TV .
Finished in gold leaf and white painted enamel.

falls open, but has an internal counter balance weight and stops, so no need to

A north German flame mahogany Biedermeier Schrank or armoire wardrobe. Pieces such as these were often made in pairs, one being afall front desk with drawers the other matching in appearance but having a false front that is actually a door, such as this piece. The beautifully matched vertical veneers are in superb condition. The wardrobe door opens to reveal shelving but could also be used as hanging space. Internal dimensions are W101 cm D 42 cm, so deep enough for hanging.
above this is an amazing double door convex shaped hat compartment. the same ornate brass key opend both locks top and bottom. Beautiful scrollwork applied to the top is typical of the northern German Late Empire early Biedermeier style.

Superb quality craftsmanship
Georgian style Victorian era bow front sideboard with three drawers and wine
decanter compartment with false drawer front. Each drawer with oval brass
handles and locks and dove tailed jointed casework. The centre drawer with felt
lined cutlery compartments and original key to open it with. The whole raised on
elegant chamfer and tapering legs of the Sheraton manner.
The elegant shaped kneehole of
luxurious clearance of 67 cm .

Description
Pale walnut and fruitwood French provincial Louis
XVI style armoire with original folding mechanism that hides a guest bed.
This ingenius design allows for a
full matress is W116 cm Hx18cm height plus an additional up to 37 cm in length
if required to add to the original matress length os 186cm.
The single fold down door opens
with a central lock, is hinged at the bottom and folds open. The two iron front
legs fold out and down and are firmly secured with the original locking pin. the
matress is fixed to the door, ( which is not heavy ) and can be pushed back into
the cabinet along its original steel rails.
There are three heavy duty canvas
belt straps that hold a second matress or bedding into place whilst folding
away. Traditional peg jointed back panel , hand stitched springs to wooden
frame. Marquetry inlaid with fruitwood and raised on brass capped taper
legs.
The front of the door has brass
wire grills and original folded silk backing.
French circa 1890 .
Ideal size for a guest bedroom or office or for the
space challenged appartment

The fossil black marble top hides
a space for several layers of wine bottles beneath it.

front drawer ideal for corkscrew collections and below this is a large robust
drawer with stepped front legs attached hiding bras roller castors within to

Unusual French Provincial antique
chestnut dresser base or sideboard in the Louis Philippe style and period. First
half of the 19th century French. The solid top with mitre edges, moulding below
and two fitted drawers. A central lock and escutcheon in place to be able to
lock the drawers if required, but no key for this lock. The lower two solid
timber doors have nicely engraved and chiseled long brass escutcheons original
lock and key. All works smoothly. An internal shelve exists. Patina, overall a
good light cherrywood colour but being chestnut or elm has a more figurative
grain.

This has a lovely golden hue that you can only get with antique EUROPEAN cherrywood. Original turned carved escutcheon key holes to doors, this piece is very tight and does not have any looseness to the frame. a small piece of cherrywood inlaid to the bottom front left hand door and signs of ANCIENT woodworm , are all marks of authenticity and impossible to forge.
