Description 
        A rare and gorgeous signed French 
          Rococo style chest of 3 drawers with serpentine front and shaped sides.  
        A superb quality piece from the 
          makers Lysberg and Hansen in Denmark, holders of Royal Warrant for furniture 
          making to the Scandinavian Royal households.  
        The extremly high quality craftsmanship speaks 
          volumes. Beautifully made with burl walnut veneers to bombe shaped body. The 
          ornate wood grain is just superb and has a rich golden honey colour so desirable 
          by interior designers as a feature piece. 
        All drawers with ornate Georgian bronze handles and pierced escutcheon to 
          serpentine fronts . Each drawer with a lock and a working brass key is supplied. 
          Drawer sides in solid Scandinavian oak. 
        Ornate rococo carved walnut legs highlight this 
          cute hallway or bedside chest. The shaped burl walnut top adds to the warmth of 
          this design.

        The Copenhagen firm of Lysberg & Hansen and 
          later Lysberg, Hansen & Therp A/S, was an important Danish furniture maker 
          and upholstery company holding both Danish and Swedish Royal 
          Warrants. 
          Founded in 1841 by the saddler Arentz it was taken over in 1879 by 
          AJ Lysberg (1840-1901). The company became Lysberg & Hansen in 1911, when 
          cabinetmaker Waldemar Hansen joined the company and later in 1933 Lysberg, 
          Hansen & Therp.
