Vintage Australian mid century modern double bedhead with rattan centres and carved wood frmae by T H Brown circa 1960.
Good patina and finish consistent with age and use. The wooden top has been beautifully polished. In the traditional neoclassical manner that influenced Art Deco designs this bedhead with its tapering columns and turned knob tops would most likely have been mounted to the wall rather than the bedframe. The Empire style minimalist design with lozenge centres.
T H Brown was established in 1911 but was really known for its fabulous quality mid 20th century furniture all with superb craftsmanship. The company took inspiration from Danish modernist furniture of the time.

These Regency style tables folds down to a very versatile flat pack with the ingenious design that hinges the table centres and has a swivel bracket underneath that firmly joins the top when opened. The top when folded up closes in on itself protecting the original french poished table surface whilst on tour. Coaching tables of quality such as these are in high demand and are rarely available in pairs. The size makes this a very versatile and is much sought after as a hall table for interior designers. Antique Georgian Sheraton fold over games sewing or centre table with satinwood inlay two tier circa 1905. Raised on elegant slayed outward Georgian style tapering legs finished with string inlay. Good french polished finish. The top with satinwood cross banding and marquetry shell inlay. It has a slight bow to the top that would probably straighten out with a few heavy books or a lamp on top. This top rotates and is hinged open to reveal a green baize centre for card games etc. A later added drawer with pleated cloth sides is ideal for haberdashery or shess pieces etc. The size and height of this table makes it ideal for use as a bedside table too.

This is a bespoke made late 20th century table. It should not be mistaken for an antique Fench original. Tables of these dimensions did not exist in the 18th century hence this unique table was made to suit a modern designer's requirements. With only minor veneer repairs and scuffs well restored and in good sturdy condition and good patinated polished finish.

A rare pair of antique petit bedside cabinets from the Empire revival period circa 1910. Beautifully veneered in rare and highly figurative burl amboyna and french polished throughout. The original rouge marble tops with an elegant ormolu mounted drawer below. The open shelves for books and other toys retain their original french polished splendour. Very elegant and extremely useful this pair were made in France circa 1910. They are polished on three sides so can also be used as bedside lamp tables or feature pedestal stands for statues or sculpture etc. The unusual narrow depth is ideal for apartment living whilst the gilt bronze mounts exude luxury.

Antique Sheraton three tied lamp table bedside table of oval shape with marquetry inlay satinwood and mahogany in the Georgian manner.
Polished all round so it can be used as a lamp table or as bedside. The oval top raised on four elegant tapering legs with two further platform shelves below. The turned finials are a nice touch or finesse. The tops and legs are all satinwood string inlaid solid mahogany. The elegant legs taper and terminate with gilt bronze and ceramic castors and this makes this wotnot a very versatile piece of moveable furniture.
Tables of these dimensions were very rare in the late 18th century and the demand for quality Sheraton antiques influenced a revival in the late Victorian era. This unique 3 tier table was made in the late 1800's to suit more modern height requirements. Good sturdy condition and good original french polished patina- a value point!

The oval top with traditional late Georgian spider web inlay in satinwood, mahogany and rosewood. Below the oval top is a bronze handle bow front drawer . Raised on elegant sabre legs with shaped marquetry inlaid tray shaped platform below with gallery concave sides. Tables of these dimensions did not exist in the 18th century hence this bespoke made quality table. English 18th century style and dating from the late 20th century

A rare and gorgeous signed French Rococo style chest of 3 drawers with serpentine front and shaped sides. A superb quality piece from the makers Lysberg and Hansen in Denmark, holders of Royal Warrant for furniture making to the Scandinavian Royal households. The extremly high quality craftsmanship speaks volumes. Beautifully made with burl walnut veneers to bombe shaped body. The ornate wood grain is just superb and has a rich golden honey colour so desirable by interior designers as a feature piece. All drawers with ornate Georgian bronze handles and pierced escutcheon to serpentine fronts . Each drawer with a lock and a working brass key is supplied. Drawer sides in solid Scandinavian oak. Ornate rococo carved walnut legs highlight this cute hallway or bedside chest. The shaped burl walnut top adds to the warmth of this design.
Danish circa 1933 in the 18th century manner.

Description: Rare small proportions for such a lovely piece makes it most desirable as a lamp table or even as bedside table. Good original undisturbed patina and colour is a value point. Raised on shaped column support to pedestal base with turned tulip feet with smoothly operating brass castors hidden within makes this table very versatile. Polished all round to be in the centre of a room if required. When opened the top measures 71cm x 51 cm.

A rare pair of antique bedside cabinets from the Biedermeier revival period circa 1910. Beautifully veneered in flame mahogany right round and polished throughout, these cabinets can stand as occasional or lamp tables in the centre of a room. Each door opens with an elegant turned knob : left hinged on one, right on the other cabinet. An elegant arched facade encases an upper compartment and this is surmounted by solid antique green mable tops. Very elegant and extremely useful this pair would date from the early 1900's and are Scandinavian made, most likely Stockholm Sweden. They are polished right round so can also be used as lamp tables or feature pedestal stands for statues or sculpture etc.

Polished right round so it can stand in the centre of a room, this Biedermeier era cabinet is fitted with a stepped cherry top with ebony edging below which is a single drawer with a single door. It is beautifully veneered in figurative verticle cherrywood veneers and edges of solid ebony string inlay. Raised on a stepped plinth. Superb quality ideal for any room and will blend equally well in an Art Deco interior. Ideal as a stand for sculpture or a statue as it is beautifully polished right round. Replaced lock and ornate brass knobs. The cabinet has a seal stamp underneath with a crown and initials T T. It stems from the noble family collection of Thurn and Taxis . Its very rare for any Biedermeier furniture to be signed and as the seal bears a crown in the stamp this Nobility provenance would certainly have commissioned other furniture for their castle Shoenburg. German 1820 possibly Munich
